Jurgen Klopp's Reds will also be eager to banish memories of their shock, controversial 3-2 loss in Toulouse earlier this month as they hope to wrap up top spot in Group E with a match to spare.
That will be the case if they beat LASK again and nearest rivals Toulouse fail to see off Belgian side Union SG at home on the same night, while just a point will be enough for Liverpool to seal a top-two finish. They could lose and still progress if Toulouse are held to a draw.
A morale-boosting late draw at title rivals Manchester City on Saturday will have offered another confidence boost for the in-form hosts, though they have now seen both Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota added to the injury list.

The Reds would have booked a spot in the round of 16 had they avoided defeat in the previous round, but Jurgen Klopp's side were beaten 3-2 by Toulouse instead. Still, they remain two points clear at the top of Group E heading into this clash, with three wins and one loss from four games.
LASK, meanwhile, still hold hopes of reaching the knockout play-off round after beating Union Saint-Gilloise last time out, but they're more likely to compete with the Belgian side for a Europa Conference League spot by finishing third in the group.
Liverpool could be without as many as five players for the visit of LASK on Thursday evening, with first-choice goalkeeper Alisson and winger Diogo Jota both picking up injuries against Manchester City last weekend. The pair are likely to join Thiago Alcantara, Andy Robertson and Stefan Bajcetic in the medical room for this clash.
Long-term absentees Tobias Anselm and Adil Taoui have both picked serious knee injuries and will miss the rest of the season. LASK could also be without the services of Ebrima Darboe and Philipp Wiesinger through minor knocks.
Both Diogo Jota and Alisson suffered injuries in Liverpool’s draw with Manchester City and will be absent from the matchday squad here, with the former’s injury more serious than that of the Brazilian goalkeeper. Caoimhin Kelleher was likely to deputise regardless behind a likely rorated starting team. Thiago, Andy Robertson and Stefan Bajcetic are longer-term absentees.
Philipp Wiesinger, Ebrima Darboe, Adil Taoui and Tobias Anselm are all unavailable to LASK manager Thomas Sageder, though the Austrian club’s first-choice squad is in reasonable health otherwise.

Liverpool will enjoy being back in the ascendancy after their hard-fought 1-1 draw against Premier League leaders Manchester City on Saturday, but LASK, who are bottom of the group and need to win to keep their qualification hopes alive, showed they're capable of providing a scare in the reverse fixture.
Florian Flecker put the Austrian side into a surprise 14th-minute lead in September, but second-half goals from Darwin Nunez, Luis DÃaz and Mohamed Salah ensured the Reds came away with the three points.
Klopp has confirmed that Liverpool will be without both Alisson and Jota for the games ahead after their respective injuries sustained against City.
Alisson should return at some stage in December with his hamstring issue not as serious as first feared but still "bad enough" according to the boss, though Jota's problem is worse and it remains to be seen at this stage when he will return.
